PBRRC Saturday Group Run – NDSS Pierogi Fundraiser

February 8 — 7:30 am - 10:00 am

Come join the Pro Bike + Run Running Club, #PBRRC, presented by our good friends at GCXC Racing, for our Saturday Group Run.     There are always lots of friendly faces, and paces for all levels.

Word Down Syndrome Day (WDSD), 21 March, is a global awareness day which has been officially observed by the United Nations since 2012. Every year the voice of people with Down syndrome, and those who live and work with them, grows louder. The events of WDSD help to raise awareness of what Down syndrome is, what it means to have Down syndrome, and how people with Down syndrome play a vital role in our lives and communities.

“The Run for 3.21” is a 260 mile adventure run will bring together a team of self-advocates, athletes and allies in the NDSS community, working together to run, non-stop, from the steps of the United Nations in NYC to the steps of the Capital building Washington DC.

The PBRRC is proud to support the National Down Syndrome Society and their efforts to help raise funds and awareness. This run is particularly important as our own mentor and ambassador, Gina Mannion, has an incredible daughter Maeve, and will be running the Run for 3.21 in her honor on March 19-21 to help raise awareness.
